There are many ways you can help Green Door members.

Help us reach out to the community and tell more people about the wonderful work of Green Door. Invite a staff and members from Green Door to make a presentation at your office, professional organization, faith community, or social group. Contact development@greendoor.org for more information or to select a date.

Request a copy of our current Wish List by sending an email to development@greendoor.org. The Wish List includes items needed by our programs and can be the basis for a community project in your office or faith community, such as collecting toiletries or holding a raffle.

Help Green Door members work! You can help us locate jobs by opening the door to businesses that might benefit from Green Door members working there. You can set up a meeting for our Employment Director with the President of a business, or introduce Green Door to your Human Resources Director, so they can hear about how our employment program can benefit them. We particularly need entry-level routine jobs - mail rooms, office assistant (fax, copy, deliver things, set up the conference room), stocking shelves, unpacking and stocking clothes or shoes, food service (dish washing and busing, utility worker, salad bar preparation, and attendant).

Give a special gift:

• Support our weekend social programs such as trips to the beach.
• Fund a membership in a sports and health club for members' use.
• Come to our Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners to socialize with Green Door members, serve, and clean up after the meal.
• Donate individual gifts for the end of the year celebration.
• Donate a pizza lunch for a treat.
• Donate your company's tickets to a sporting or entertainment event so that several members can enjoy the event.
• Give our members a break – donate a stay at your vacation home.
